Kardashians Face a Khaotic Year

It’s certainly been a tough few weeks for the Kardashians. Marital issues, a drug addiction and significantly lower television show ratings are among the problems posed for the famous family.

While I thought everything was going perfectly for the Kardashian family after the highly anticipated June 15 birth of baby North West, things quickly went downhill for the Kardashian crew.

For months, Khloe Kardashian’s marriage to husband, Lamar Odom, has been on the rocks. After Odom was charged with a DUI in late August, rumors about his drug addiction began circulating. Both Khloe and Lamar have been keeping a low profile since — but not on social media. Khloe has taken it to her Twitter and Instagram accounts multiple times to express how she’s feeling.

On their four-year anniversary, Khloe removed Odom from her last name on both her Twitter and Instagram. Ouch! Talk about an anniversary present.

The reality starlet has also posted numerous photos on Instagram, hinting that she is going through a tough time but is strong enough to face it all. Some of her most recent messages include:

“God gives the hardest battles to his strongest soldiers.”

“I can’t explain and I won’t even try.”

“She smiles to mask the pain in her heart. She laughs to conceal the tears in her eyes.”

Poor Khlo.

Khloe is not the only one in her family facing marital issues. Just earlier this week, news came that Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner and her husband Bruce have separated. After 22 years of marriage, the two have decided to give each other some space while Bruce resides in a beach house by himself in Malibu, Ca. Kris and Bruce released a statement together letting people know they are happy with their decision.

“We are living separately and we are much happier this way. But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends, and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority,” the ex-couple said in a joint statement.

That’s good to know, since they have a total of ten children in their blended family.

It comes as no surprise that the Jenner marriage is ending. After all, there have been signs that this would happen for years. As an avid “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” viewer, I’ve noticed that Bruce has been the victim of being lied to, denied, teased and just plain ignored.

A few key KUWTK moments that foreshadowed marriage trouble include the episodes where Bruce spent an entire weekend at Khloe’s house — and Kris didn’t realize he was gone. In fact, Kris sneaks behind Bruce’s back to spend quality time with the man she had an affair with during her marriage to Robert Kardashian. She then later denies Bruce the chance to buy toy helicopters and place a putting green in the backyard.

Kris has pretty much castrated Bruce. It’s about time he breaks free and gets his life back together, among other things.

Amidst all of the drama currently surrounding the Kardashian-Jenner family, numbers show that fewer people are choosing to “keep up” with them. E! Entertainment reported that the ratings for “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” have drastically dropped. A year ago, nearly four million viewers tuned in every Sunday to see what Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kris, Kendall, Kylie, Rob and Bruce were doing. Last Sunday’s episode only drew in one million viewers. Rumor has it that the show could come to an end if ratings don’t pick up quickly. Maybe they’ll film Kris and Bruce’s divorce in an attempt to get ratings back up.

I just hope they don’t make it four hours long like Kim’s wedding. Nobody wants to see that.
