Orlando Bloom, Miranda Kerr Amicably Split

Another celebrity relationship bites the dust.

After six years of dating and three years of marriage, the ridiculously gorgeous couple Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom called it quits.

The 36-year-old British actor and the 30-year-old Australian Victoria’s Secret Angel began their relationship in 2007 before marrying in 2010. A year later, Kerr gave birth to their son, Flynn, who is now 2 years old.

Most of us thought this couple was a match made in heaven so the split up came as a shock Friday morning. Although divorce tends to

be a difficult and rather ugly situation, the two released a joint-statement confirming that everything is good between them.

“Life is a mystery, you know. It doesn’t always work out the way you want. But it’s all good,” Bloom said Saturday.

Kerr and her reps have yet to address the issue publicly, but Bloom’s reps reveal that the two have been “amicably separated for the past few months.”

“Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family,” Bloom’s reps stated.

Most people could not have guessed that they had been living apart due to Kerr and Bloom being spotted together within the past couple of months with their son.

Kerr has openly shared her support for Bloom as he takes on a new role in the Broadway production of “Romeo and Juliet.” In the Nov. 2013 issue of Cosmopolitan, Kerr raved about how talented her then-husband was, saying that she had “so much respect for him.”

Despite their separation, Kerr and Bloom often seem to be holding their family, composure and friendship together, which isn’t always possible – especially for celebrities as famous as they are. Hopefully the “happy-go-lucky” family image isn’t just a façade that they’ve decided to put on for the paparazzi.

This is definitely one of the most friendly celebrity divorces I’ve seen, although it would be nice to see Kerr and Bloom reunite. Nothing as beautiful as their relationship deserves to fall apart.
