Rumors have been flooding the Internet recently that the Subaru/Scion famed BRZ/FRS will be coming out with a sedan version of the sports car. Several artist renderings have also been taking over car enthusiast web pages.
Another model that has been making its rounds on the internet has been a convertible version of the car. According to Motor Trend, the new sedan will be turbo charged and will be about the same size as the current Subaru Legacy.
The concept cars made their first appearances at the Geneva Auto show. At the show the convertible and a hatchback/wagon styled sedan were shown. The sedan would feature a turbocharged hybrid engine that would be 100hp more than the current 200hp engine.
As someone who is looking at the BRZ to be my next car, I am closely following to see what Subaru will do next with this already great car. This new sedan will also feature the all-wheel drive that Subaru is famous for. The main competitors for this car would be the already well-loved Subaru STI models and Mitsubishi’s EVO. Pricing for the vehicles has yet been determined but rumors place the price between $30,000 and $40,000. Expect to see these vehicles rolling out in late 2015 or early 2016.
